It was our car’s time for its yearly service so I took it to be maintained with a list of things we had either broken on the car or that were somehow wrong. To my delight the replacement car given to us was a couple of classes above the car class we had reserved. So I drove off with an upbeat feeling cranking the radio up to volumes that make my wife jump out of her skin. Me, being an old heavy rock listener enjoyed an old school rock tune. This enjoyment was abruptly brought to a halt by the hosts discussing how well-endowed they were causing me to switch the radio channel only to find myself listening to a program where pornography scholar was discussing the beneficial effects of porn to the sex life of Finns to the excitement of the gleeful hosts. So it was time for the next station. They were broadcasting a raunchy pop song talking about a saving love that to me was a sure-fire way of getting yourself thrown into the eternal lake of fire. Enough of that!

Edellisessä blogiartikkelissani kerroin kuinka kirjoitin muistiin muutamia tekstirivejä, jotta Terhi tekisi niistä biisin.
Kuten odotettavissa oli, ensimmäinen yritykseni värkätä laulun sanoja ei menyt ihan puikkoihin. Terhi kuitenkin otti sanat ja käytti taitojaan niihin ja lopputuloksena syntyi jotakin jota voit tulla vaikkapa paikan päälle kokoukseen kuulemaan (en tosin pysty takamaan, että laulua soittettaisiin jokaisessa kokouksessa. As to be expected my first stab at creating song lyrics wasn’t received as such. Terhi took her skills to the lines I provided and came up with something quite… – well, you need to judge for yourself by coming to one of our meetings and hearing the song for yourself (this is no guarantee that the song is played in every meeting ;-)). Here are the lyrics for the final song:
Taas yksi näitä omituisia öitä kun nukkumisesta ei tullut mitään, maanantai 26 toukokuuta ollaksemme tarkkoja. Muistaakseni edeltävissä eikä seuraavissa päivissä ei ollut mitään erikoista, joka aiheuttaisi tälläistä rauhattomuutta.
Minulla on tapana jäähdytellä päivästä kun menen nukkumaan kertaamalla päivän tapahtumia ja rukoilemalla mennyttä sekä tulevaa käytäen siihen normaalisti tunninkin. Ottaen huomioon tämän tavan aika jona uni ei tullut pantiin hyvään käyttöön rukoilemalla. Todella omituinen juttu tapahtui rukoillessani ja se tuntui kuin käteni ja jalkani olisivat olleet liekeissä! Minulla oli muistikuva profeetasta, joka yritti olla puhumatta Jumalasta aiheuttaen tunteen että hänen luunsa olisivat tulessa.
Tämän muistikuva säilyi aamuun asti mitä ei aina tapahdu. Tämä aiheutti ankaran raamatun tutkimisen löytääkseni kohdan jossa puhutaan liekehtivistä luista. Toden totta sieltähän se löytyi Jeremia 20:9, jossa puhutaan juuri tästä tapahtumasta.
