Happiness & its causes – worth pursuing?

I just spent over a week in the US more specifically in northern California Bay Area. I have heard that this state is a prophetic one in the sense that anything “released” here will in a couple of years sweep the whole earth. At the moment the crux of the matter is same sex marriages that a California Supreme Court had approved Now they are voting on Proposition 8 to make it either lawful or illegal. Interesting to see how it goes.

What however interests me more is what the Finnish Lutheran Church will do in relation to this. If they say “yes” towards this and start marrying same sex couples they will cease to be a church that proclaims the whole counsel of God.

This however is a very broad subject with injustice and over reacting been done on both sides. What I set out to write about was the goal of existence for human beings in this age and the stark contrast it has in comparison to the goals set out before us in the Bible. What caught my attention while in CA were two public happenings of first was for the lustful and rebellious called “Sinfest” and the other for the intellectual called “Happiness & its causes”.

Both of these have serious problems right off the bat!

The Sinfest one is easy to pick out given that it boast in committing sin and making a equation mark between sin and fun, thus inferring that being righteous would be void of fun, dull and unhappy. Clearly they have been either influenced by unhappy Christians – of whom there is a few – or have no knowledge of the promises of God which include joy that is mentioned numerous times.A person needs to take the tablet about an hour ago from pursuing sexual activity. navigate to these guys viagra samples

Happiness & its causes is a more subtle one since the theme of the conference is a valid blessing from God, but the means of achieving happiness neglect God trough and trough. What the main focus seems to be is the thing that was attended by God to be a blessing that come to a believer after seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

This approach totally forgets the Biblical truth that first of all we are called by God Secondly that this calling will cause us a certain amount of discomfort and if everything is fine and there is no external pressure these is something flaud in our Christian walk. We are actually encouraged to rejoicingly partake in Christ’s sufferings (1 Col 1:24).

But any discomfort is not the spirit of the world. It focuses solely on ones self and how can one make their existence more enjoyable. Given the overt ambition to pleasure one’s self poses a moral dilemma for which we have scientist explaining to us that there is no God to rid us of the nagging feeling that our selfish acts aren’t all right, come final analysis.
